This will be the appointment that you will need if you are new to us at OT FOCUS, or presenting with a new issue. 

We will spend time gathering information from you enabling us to understand what treatments you will require. Depending upon your issue, we will make recommendations regarding a treatment plan as part of this appointment, and your treatment will begin. 

The time you will need for this type of appointment will depend upon why we are treating you. e.g. if you need a splint making/fitting or were seeing us for complex rehabilitation  you may require a longer follow-up appointment. If you were attending for a post plastic surgery follow-up you would likely need a shorter appointment. Please ask if you are unsure as we are aware that some of our patients do travel a fair way to reach us.

This service is available for patients who may live a distance away from Nottingham or whose work commitments mean that attendance face to face is difficult. 

This type of appointment would occur over Zoom and is ideal for patients with smaller scars and those who are looking for treatment or advice that does not require a face to face assessment of need. 

This would include an initial assessment and treatment and 2 follow-up appointments. If we feel you would benefit from any scar treatments we may offer you a trial of this.

During this session we will skin match you with an aim to finding your perfect products with which to achieve your skin camouflage. We can usually only work on one area of your body at a time as it will often take the full session length to realise your match. We will then give you all the information required to self purchase your products, and can usually provide you with a small sample to take away with you to try in different lighting situations. A home assessment performed to look at safety and increasing independence within the home with be charged at the base rate of £130 to include the preparation time, and physical time spent with you in your home.  Where follow-up research and sourcing is required by your OT, additional costs would be incurred.

We are able to visit you in your home, including visits within a care home. We will gather any relevant information from yourself, family, carers and your available care or medical records. Based upon this visit we can then plan and provide guidance on future treatments and interventions required.

If you choose to engage in regular therapy sessions, then a priced package would be available e.g. 10% reduction in cost for 4+ sessions. 

If you are assessed and we recommend a bespoke rehab programme for you that will take place over a number of sessions or weeks, we will inform you of expected costs so our fees are transparent. These costs may depend upon the time required to treat you, and where you are located.
